Artiesten op de bres voor Suriname
Deze week verschijnt de cd "Flood in Suriname". Aan de cd werken bekende Surinaamse artiesten in Nederland mee. Ze hopen samen veel geld in te zamelen voor noodhulp aan de getrofffenen van de watersnood in Suriname. De opbrengst van cd gaat dan ook naar de actie Samen voor Suriname - Giro 797. Fluitist en componist Ronald Snijders schreef het nummer. Naast Ronald Snijders (fluit en gitaar) zelf zijn op de cd te horen: Jorgen Raymann, Oscar Harris, Gerda Havertong, Max Nijman, Denise Jannah, Pamela Pinas, Paul Demenie, rapper Vlash, Robby Alberga (elektrische gitaar), Glenn Gaddum en Saskia Laroo (trompet). This past month Saskia has travelled 3 times to Poland for concerts with Funk de Nite at jazzfestivals and performed at the famous Prague Jazzfestival with local all star orchestra besides doing two concerts in Lithuania with classical ross over project by composer Linas Rimsa, one of them at prestigeous Gaida Festival in Vilnius.
